What is Supported Independent Living (SIL)?

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is NDIS funded support for people who need help with daily living in a shared or individual living arrangement. This can include support with cooking, personal care, medication, and community participation, typically in a home with 24/7 or overnight staff available.

Do I need to live in one of your homes to receive support?

We offer both in-home care and support in our own managed care homes. You can receive services from My Carers in your own home, or choose to live in one of our homes, depending on your needs and preferences.

What if I already have a home and just need a carer?

That’s no problem. We regularly support participants who live independently, with family, or in other arrangements. We’ll work with you to match a carer who suits your situation and provide care in your own environment.

Can I visit your care homes before deciding?

Yes. We understand how important it is to feel comfortable and confident in your living arrangement. We welcome potential participants and their families to visit our homes, meet the team, and see if it’s the right fit.
